A lovely oil on board painting by Scottish artist James Heron, newly framed.

James lived in Edinburgh and painted many landscapes around Scotland. He exhibited at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the RSA.

Unsigned, but provenance by descent through the artist's family. James Heron was the brother of Jessie Heron, the mother of Dorothy Johnstone.

Please note there is a small mark, which is highlighted in one of the images.
