He never rests.

And it's written all over his face. 

It came to me untitled; I call it Sentinel. 

Impasto oil on board, thickly worked in grey, red, and dark green — a figure emerges from the paint rather than being drawn on it, built up in ridges and knife-marks.

Genuine age and craquelure consistent with the medium; original frame shows honest handling wear.

It's signed on the reverse, but I've not been able to identify the artist. There is some wear to the front and back of the frame as shown.
