This is a superb little statue produced by La Nuova Fucina in Sardinia. It's a cast bronze reproduction of Capotribu, the Chieftain of the Nuragic Civilisation. The workshop has been producing items since 1960 and is family-run.
It weighs 369g and is made using an ancient casting technique to keep local tradition alive.
The statue stands on a wooden base with a plaque and original label. It also comes with a leaflet in English, which tells you more about the Nuragic Civilisation.
It's a really lovely piece with a beautiful patina.
Dimensions: Overall height with base 16cm. Statue height 13cm. The base is 7.5cm wide.
